nScaled® Partners with Meridian IT to Deliver End-to-End Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Solutions

DEERFIELD, Ill., Aug. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Meridian IT, a global IT solutions provider, today announced it has entered into a partnership with nScaled, a provider of automated, integrated IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Solutions.

The combined nScaled/Meridian IT solution is based on a geo-distributed, fully redundant architecture. Companies can replace limited or outdated backup, business continuity, disaster recovery and archiving solutions with a comprehensive, proven platform.  It ensures that the entire heterogeneous IT environment, including user-facing Windows-based interfaces, application servers running on variants of Linux, and heavy-duty back-end transaction processors and databases on IBM iSeries servers, is adequately protected against human error, hardware failure, or natural disasters.

The joint solution is built on hybrid cloud architecture. It utilizes on-premise physical or virtual appliances for high performance local backup and recovery, and "in-the-cloud" distributed data centers for remote, highly-reliable failover and long-term storage.
